Hallo!

I have been trying to login to an FTP account using my provided login credentials but they are not working for me. I have requested for password reset and this has successfully been accomplished. I was told that I need to use this syntax FTP login: ftp://user:password@host:port/path and this has failed. I therefore installed FileZillar Client and I realized that I only have the username and password. What does the host and port numbers represent in this application?

Hello Hanley Samson,

If you want to use a server for your web application then i recommend you to use Wamp server. It is a very easy thing to handle your PHP code items and you can easily check your website without having a net connection. It can also provide the facility to use some of the cloud based technologies to save your data in a more efficient way. It has more advance features from the FileZillar. So i suggest you that server instead of using the other one. You can get to it by using the below link.

Hello,

Your ftp credentials are related to a domain name that runs a ftp service using the port 21, so the host represent the domain name, and the port is the wide known ftp port 21.. So in order to login successfully, you should type the domain that you want to connect to using your ftp credentials, then type in your username and password, and finally you type in 21 in the "port" field, and like that you should be connected after you click the "connect" button..

And this is a photo that clear the things up to you.
