What series of tests can be performed by the startup BIOS to determine whether it can communicate correctly with essential hardware components essential for a successful boot?

What series of tests can be performed by the startup BIOS

Hi Jonathon,

 

During startup the very first thing the BIOS does is to perform POST (Power On Self Test). POST is a diagnostic program built in the computer that runs to check all your hardware and to ensure that all of it is connected and running properly. After POST does all this, your BIOS then boots your PC. I hope this helps.

Hi,

BIOS called as basic input/ output system. First thing is BIOS doing at the startup is POST that means power-on self-test. When this time BIOS identify CPU RAM and hardware devises mouse keyboard and etc. next it check peripheral devices such boot itself The BIOS is typically placed in a ROM chip that comes with the computer (it is often called a ROM BIOS). After check these things BIOS boot your computer.
