Hardware component for sending and receiving data information

Hello,

I would like my computer to send and receive data instructions and information to and from one or more computers. However, I have no clue as to what device is a hardware component that can enable me to do such a task. Any suggestion?

I would gladly appreciate the solution to such an issue.

Hello Mr. Joshuagarrettthehero.

Are you using a laptop computer? Then you can do this with your Bluetooth function. If you don't have then you can do this with an ethernet port. It is both wired and wireless. So you can use any of these two. You can also do this with a serial connection. There are many connections like serial port, infrared etc. You can also perform this with USB device.
