Hi techyv,

What is the possibility software to convert from cda to wma? I have cda audio files downloaded from the internet and needs to convert it to .wma file extension. Also give me ways on how to compress or lessen the file size such as kB to MB conversion.

Greetings Ava,

The first thing to know is that *.cda files are Audio “Data Index” files, which means that they do not contain audio samples, just CD index information. This also means that you can’t convert them if you don’t have the original Audio CD they came from.

If you do have the Audio CD, then follow these steps/Advices:

• If you want a good sound quality with an appropriation file size, I personally advise you to use *.mp3 extension rather than WMA.

In order to convert your files, there are many software's on the internet:

FreeRIP Which is also available for free, it has a multiple file support.

Alt CDA to WMA Limited 15 Days trial version, has more conversion options.

You have asked about .cda to .wma converter software and I am here to help. The best Software to convert .cda to .wma extensions are Freemake Audio converter for me.

I'd choose the Software with my eyes closed. Freemake Audio Converter has the easiest interface which anyone can use. To convert any file (.cda, .amr, .mp3, .ogg etc) to another audio format just do the following:
