It is important to have eye catching graphics on your webpage. However, this will  compromise on the page loading speed. Increasing text on  the web page will improve the speed, but make it look dull and not catch attention. How then do I find the optimal mix for my website so that it looks catchy but is also fast enough?

It is true that eye catching images and graphics are important to make your webpage more attractive but it must be in a good ratio. It must be in 60:40 ratio and your article must be more than 400 words if you are using 3 images in an article.  If you does not maintain a proper ration than it cause to increase the loading  time, that will be a problematic.
