Macros are short programs you write to automate routine tasks. The commands that are build to execute a program or any task are Macros. The task may be anything like sending or receiving a request which is made by user or sending the information.
Macros are helpful in:-
1. Reduce the number of keystrokes and mouse clicks by running repetitive processing steps automatically
2. Standardize procedures to reduce errors and inconsistencies
3. Decrease staff time required for routine tasks
