Apple does warn against tampering with their products and only a certified profession should be allowed to fix their products.

It costs around $40 – $50 to get a new screen, however the most it would cost to repair an IPhone or an IPad, for example it was to be sunken under water; $160. So, to prevent any future damage, it is recommended to buy a protective case and keep phone from water and in the safest place possible.
