The VMware vSphere vCenter Appliance is an already configured virtual machine for Linux-based operating systems. It is encouraged to run this application on the Vmware vCentre Server.

The VMware vSphere vCenter Appliance is reliant on the VMware ESXi 5.5 or later version.

The default configuration of the VMware vSphere vCenter are as follows

  • The default username is root. The password is the one you set during installation
  • The Single Sign-On username is administrator@domain. The password is same as that of the root.
  • You can give privilege to additional users, but at the beginning on the admin has all the privileges.
