Example: If your e-mail address is [email protected], type the following in the Link text tbox:

• mailto:[email protected]

Add the first parameter:

• ?Subject=Hello

If parameter, the link information in the Link text box appears as you added this:

• mailto:[email protected]?Subject=Hello

Add additional parameters:

• Each parameter added after the first is separated from the preceding parameter with an ampersand (&).
• Mailailto: [email protected]?Subject=Hello&[email protected]

With Subject, Cc, and Bc parameters added to the e-mail link, the information in the Link text box is similar to:

• mailto:[email protected]?Subject=Hello&[email protected]&[email protected]

Add more than one e-mail address to the Cc or Bc parameter:

• mailto:[email protected][email protected],[email protected]

Add spaces and special characters: 

• Type any spaces or extended characters in parameter values in their respective character code or as an HTML entity.

I am describing this topic that will help to understand the email link work.

1. First email link may be many types:

• If you do registration any site like social site, Reservation site, Any transaction so these site send a link to your email that is process of verification.
• Your email address like a passport , I mean if you do not verify email link  you can not access any social site perfectly.

2. When you create a account in any site than admin of site send a code to your email that is password of you account. So Email id or Email link is very necessary.

3. In future if you forget your user name of password than when you click forget my account password than a link will be send to your email id .

• Second thing is email ID or email address. When you want to sign up with any site on internet then you need email address like (your name@yahoo) or any other like (Hotmail, gmail, msn).

Also to activate your account on any web site you need email ID.
