What To Do When LG Tv Sound No Picture?
Before repairing it is good to know how the TV works. The display uses electrically charged ionized gases called plasma. Behind the display there are circuit boards.
When a problem occurs it is important to diagnose it. First, check for the cracks. If they are present you need to carry out the replacement of plasma screen as the gases will have been escaped and there is to no way to refill it. But if the problem does not vanish after the replacement then lamp burn-out can be a reason.

Change the fuse:

Unplug the television. Wait for some time so that the capacitors get discharged. This is important as TV runs at a very high voltage which can be dangerous.

Use a digital multimeter. Set it to 0-200 ohm.

Make the red and black probes to touch and note the readings.

Then touch the probes to the end of fuse. If the reading is 1 or OL then it requires a replacement. If the readings do not change then the fuse is perfectly fine.

To find and solve the issue:

Unplug the television and wait for some time till the capacitors discharge. This is important as TV runs at a very high voltage which can be dangerous.

Open the back panel.

Remove the Z-sustain and power the TV. If the sound works then Z-sustain is at fault.

Do the same for Y-sustain.
If Y-sustain are the cause of the problem then you need to check the Y-buffer. Unplug the buffer and power the TV. .
If picture is seen then the sure shot cause is Y-sustain.
