Last week I bought Blackberry phone. What can I do to make it faster? What causes blackberry widget to be slow? Do I need to install new applications or do I need to upgrade my phone’s memory?

You can try some maintenance options to make your phone fast. These will speed up your apps a little bit. These include –

 

·         Cleaning the log files of events.

·         Closing the opened apps.

·         Enabling the used space clean-up.

Hi there! If you found out that  your BlackBerry is running slowly you can resolved this with a simple steps. First you need to clear out your event log because your BlackBerry always tracks  everything it does to help with troubleshooting so you have to clear it out, then you also need to clear out your cache and close the unused applications. If you have a BlackBerry Smartphone, here are different ways how to make it work a little faster:

• Delete any unwanted or unused apps – if you have many apps on your phone and you have ones that you no longer use, deleting them will help free up storage space in the internal memory or in the external memory if you transferred them to the memory card. The more apps you have on your phone, the lesser free memory that’s available to you.

  To delete an app, tap “Options” in the home screen then go to “Advanced Options” then select “Applications.” Select the app then click the BlackBerry menu, select “Delete” and then confirm the action.

• Delete messages that are already old or you have already read to maintain a tidy inbox.
• Enable content compression – this feature is designed to decrease the data size on your device to take up less memory. When this feature is enabled, all your data is compressed like messages, calendar entries, tasks, contacts, and memos. To activate this feature, tap “Options” in the home screen then go to “Security Options,” “General Settings,” “Content Compression” and then move your trackball to select “Enabled.”

  When you are finished, select “Save” when you are prompted.
