I heard the IE11 is much better for Windows 7 and Windows 8 versions.

What are the improvements in backend and whats the new features added?

How good is it for me to move from Chrome to IE11?

The improvements made in Internet Explorer 11 are as follows:
1) It is 9 percent faster than Internet Explorer 10 according to Microsoft
2) It has faster browsing activities than the previous versions
3) It has improved algorithms to enhance the in-form editing controls
4) It has improved JavaScript performance with the new Chakra JIT compiler
5) The improved HTML 5 support gives IE 11 a better web application view
6) It supports the latest standards for closed captioning, bandwidth optimization
7) It has high hardware accelerated 3D web graphics with better WebGL optimization
8) It scans for unsafe Web GL content and repairs it
9) It supports 25 new improved Web standards over the one in IE 10
Due to all the features of IE 11 it is better compared to chrome
