Outlook is an application created by Microsoft that can be used either as a stand-alone or have it synchronized with Exchange Server or Sharepoint Server. Mostly, when we say Microsoft Outlook what comes to mind is email server. This is indeed true. However, we should be aware that it is also used for shared calendars, public folders, and even Sharepoint lists and meeting schedules. And the best thing about Outlook is that users can even use it on their other devices such as mobile phones, and other software like Skype. I can go on and discuss all these things to help you understand Microsoft Outlook better but it would be best that you visit https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microsoft_Outlook and https://smallbusiness.chron.com/functions-ms-outlook-48701.html for future references and to see not only its basic functions but its uses as well for every user like you and me.
