I installed the perfectdisk pro 10 first time and I have seen an option of Advanced Boot Time Defrag in it, what is it? What its purpose and it may can cause any negative effect on PC or not and how to use? Please describe in details.

Defraggler, It  has a Boot-Tim option, that allows you to defrag files which are normally locked by the Operating System before the operating system is fully loaded. Now I'm sending you a link from where you can get to know all the cons and pros of this utility

Hello,

When PC boots up, there are some files which are fixed for not to be being accessed by any program such as, pagefile.sys and some other files. The Boot Time Defrag is such a utility that defrags the files before the OS boots up and start loading. It helps increasing the performance of the OS and run your PC faster.

As it is related to boot, you need to be careful to use it. I recommend you to use the latest version because sometimes, many boot assistant programs make many problems in the boot sequence and once, I have crashed the whole Windows!

What is Advanced Boot Time Defrag in perfectdisk pro 10?

PerfectDisk Pro’s “Advanced Boot Time Defrag” feature is the same as with PC Tools Performance Toolkit’s “Defrag Boot Disk” which can be scheduled in the application. The main function or purpose of this feature is to defrag your operating system’s boot files such as pagefile.sys and the file system’s MFT or Master File Table during startup or boot time.

This means every time you start your computer these files get defragged. This will obviously add to your boot time. So, if you notice your computer boots a lot longer than usual, try to disable this option in the program. If you are still using this application, try downloading the latest free trial PerfectDisk Pro which works for 30 days.

The latest version at the moment supports Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8.x, and Windows 10 both 32-bit and 64-bit. It also works on 64-bit Windows Home Server 2011 and Windows Server 2012 Essentials.
