I am a huge fan of high quality videos. I recently download a high definition version of my favourite movie and when I tried to play it via VLC, I was face with a green screen with no image. The sound of the movie was there but the image was not displaying properly. Can anyone help me with this problem?
Are you using the latest version of VLC & watching recently released movies?
The most of fan-subbers are encoding their video at 10 bits and having issues with the latest version of VLC. You can solve this problem by downloading Media player classic or 1.1.5 version of VLC.
Make sure you codecs are fully upgraded.
Try to disable hardware acceleration in flash.
Follow these steps in VLC:-
Click on Tools –> Preferences or just press Ctrl+P.
Then Click on the Video tab. Uncheck the "Accelerated video output" box & save these changes.
