Hello,

I try to open a movie in VLC, which worked fine until today. When I tried to open the movie this window blocked my VLC, I tried to open it again, restarted the laptop and still this problem. I don’t know the VLC program very well, so I don’t know what to do. How can I fix this problem and how can I prevent this ?

Regards !

VLC media player error while dragging files

I don’t think there is a problem with your VLC media player. The media player reports an error on the IP address 10.0.0.37 port number 1234. If you used to watch internet TV on this IP address and port number then check if you currently have an internet connection. The media player seems unable to open the connection on that remote server.

Check the internet cable at the back of your CPU. Try unplugging it from the network port and then plug it in again. Try opening the connection again with VLC media player and see if it works. If it doesn’t, open your web browser and open a website. If you have an internet connection you should be able to load a page.

Another possible cause is if the remote server is currently offline. In this case, you should try it again after several minutes or maybe hours until the remote server is up. You may also get this error if you have a very poor internet connection. In this case, try it again during off peak hours to have a better connection.

You may also try updating VLC media player to the latest version if you haven’t updated it yet. Download VLC media player for Ubuntu.
