Vital FTP Error: Cannot display location

Hello,

Every time I try to connect to my server it gives me the following error message.

I am required to use nautilus to connect to it because all the good backup clients use nautilus to back up to a server.

I did not solve this problem in any way so I really need your suggestion to resolve this matter.

Thanks.

Vital FTP Error: Cannot display location

Hello Naomi

This happens because the home directory does not exist, or you as user do not have permission to read it.

Go to Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Internet Services Manager.

In the Services console expand your server name and click Properties on the Default FTP Site folder. At the Home Directory tab check that the Local Path is valid and the Read box is checked. Click OK.

Go to My Computer and go to the folder checked earlier.

At the user account Everyone, under Permissions select the Read access box.

I hope you will find this information useful.

Randolph
