Visual studio Team Foundation Server 2012 RC installation error

I am trying to install Team Foundation Server 2012 RC on a server which had a Team Foundation Server 2011 installed.

I am using Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise (64-bit). I am getting the following error during installation.

Can someone please explain why am I having this problem?

Visual studio Team Foundation Server 2012 RC installation error

Hi Jonathon,

To get rid of the problem, you will have to do the following:

1. First of all be sure that your TFS2012 RC installer is not corrupted.

2. Please download it again from the link: https://www.visualstudio.com/downloads/

3. To install TFS2012 RC, the user account you log on should be a member of the Administrators group.

4. Keeping the Administrators privilege available, run the installer.

Your problem should be solved.
