I have a large collection of DVDs. After a while some of the movies seem to get damaged easily due to continual playing. So, I want to back up all my DVD movies. How do I burn some of the movies to another DVD using the Deep DVD movie burner?

Hi, Eccles John,

First of all you will have to find a way you will copy the movies into your computer but if you have two or more DVD ROMS on one machine you won’t need this. Simply put your old disk into one slot and the new one into the other. Then for clarity read this file to get all the needed info on how you will transfer the data from one disk to another.

I hope this info helps you out.

If you have video DVDs and you want to back them up to another blank DVD-R, you might encounter a little problem. The one reason that might prevent you from backing up or copying the contents of your video DVD to another DVD disc is the copy protection. When you buy a video DVD of a movie, the disc itself is copy protected.

For your information, DeepBurner cannot and does not decrypt copyright protection mechanisms because it violates the Digital Millennium Copyright Act. An original video DVD of a movie is usually protected with CSS or Content Scrambling System. It is a DRM or Digital Rights Management and encryption method used on commercial DVD production that prevents the DVD data from being copied.

Its main purpose is to protect copyrights by preventing the pirating of DVDs. CSS uses a relatively weak, proprietary 40-bit stream cipher algorithm. If you want to try DeepDVD Movie, go to DeepBurner home page and select DeepDVD Movie among the downloads. DeepDVD Movie supports Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8.x. It is compatible with all CD and DVD drives.
