Can any one provide me with the idea of sharing internet to several PC from a note book through connection hub? My internet connection type is usb modem connection with a CDMA sim card.
You will have to do the manual (physical) connection of the computers to your notebook.
• Have an NIC (Network Interface Card) for your computers and also your notebook.
• Ethernet cables with RJ-45 connectors.
You will not need a router since your notebook will act as one, have the appropriate router software installed for proper operation. Connect your computers to your hub using the Ethernet cables fitted with the RJ 45s and then from the hub to your notebook into your notebook’s NIC. Once done, you configure the network. This basically is for the purposes of the computers and notebook ‘communicating’ with each other.
Your notebook will be the server and you will have to install a server program to allow it to host and serve the other computers (clients). You will create a domain for your network and name it.
