Upgrade my Virtual DJ from v.4.3 to the latest version v.5.0.

Hi everyone,

I want to upgrade my Virtual DJ from v.4.3 to the latest version v.5.0.

But I failed to start my Virtual DJ. Always an error message appears on the monitor. (Invalid skin file error) and that occur after trying to update the version, I want to remove the process from add as well as remove program but another message appears.

(Unable to open install. log file) Only for that message I failed to delete the program and also unable to reinstall it.

Is there anyone who can help me to solve this issue?

If you receive an error that says “unable to open install.log” that means your installation for that particular application is incomplete. Maybe you did not notice that there is an error occurred while you are installing it.

You can really never remove the application if you have that error message appearing in your screen because the uninstall file for that particular program is already missing from the start or since you installed it.

You can try to fix this problem by reinstalling the program again. Don’t uninstall it using the Add or Remove Programs because you can never remove it.

Just go get its installer, run it then proceed with the installation. Follow the onscreen instructions. If it says that the application is already installed and it asks you if you want to uninstall it, select No then continue installing it. Check the whole procedure until the installation finishes.

After installing it, you can remove it now using the Add or Remove Programs. After uninstalling it, check your computer for any possible errors. Use a disk utility application to check the system.

Check again the application’s system requirements if your computer is really compatible to run it or not.

Hello.

To fix the issue you are getting when you try to update virtual DJ, you will need to try the following:

• First, you will need to upgrade from rev4 to rev5 and see if that will resolve the issue.
• If it doesn't, you will need to download and then install the skin file again, and then reboot the computer after that.
• Also try trying checking out the ZIP archive. Try replacing the 2.0 xml with an updated version of that files and after that try re-launching the skin and see if it will run successfully.
• If you still get issues, you might need to reinstall the whole virtual DJ application, and after that you can proceed with updating it.
