Update Error Code 800F0092 on Windows 8.1 PC

I am facing Update Error Code 800F0092 on my Windows 8.1 64-bit PC. I can't continue with the KB2919355 update as it always fails. When running the update, it will stop in the middle of the update and there’s nothing more. The update will stop in the middle of the process and then the update error code 800F0092 will appear. How can I fix this?

Update Error Code 800F0092 on Windows 8.1 PC

Error code 800F0092 is an issue that refers to hardware incompatibility which often happens when attempting to install the Windows 8.1 update and the KB2919355 update was launched last April 8, 2014 so there may be some glitches as of this time.

To resolve this, download the KB2919355 update manually from the Microsoft page below.

Or update through the Windows Update:

Press the Windows + X on your keyboard and select System.

And then, click the Control Panel and launch the Windows Update. Click the Check for Updates link on the left pane. Wait until it scans for available updates.

Then tick the KB2919355 update check boxand click install. The update will take some time so be patient.

Alternatively, if the update still fails, run the DISM command. Ensure that you will run it in an elevated command prompt:

Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

Or run the SFC /SCANNOW to fix missing and corrupted system files.
