Unable to recover deleted files in ADUC 2003

I have tried to recover my deleted files on ADUC 2003. Now all the restored users in the mailbox are disabled with a red ‘X’. I have re-installed Microsoft Exchange but, got no result. Please, help me with this.

Hi Jeffrey,

Such mails can easily be recovered if they are still the rentention period of less than 30 days. Exchange does not normally delete, deleted mails in the database in less than 30 days. It just gets the mails hiden from view but can be recovered. The exchange server supports two kinds of deleting: the soft deleting which happens when the delete key is hit and this kind of deleted messages are kept in a folder known as delete items folder. The other method happens when you press the shift and delete keys this kind of messages are permanently deleted from your mails box.

Follow this process to get your mails back: Open the exchange's system manager, then expand the servers making sure to expand your server also. Get the first storage group expanded. Click right on the mailbox store and open the property. Clicking on the limits tab and check delete settings then keep deleted settings for>. From here you may recover your deleted mails.
