I successfully installed OS X Lion 10.7 on my Mac PC. Then I tried to make a copy of the OS X to a disk but I could not locate it on my hard disk. I searched on the folders and subfolders of my hard disk to no avail. How can I make a copy of it and write it on a bootable disk? Can anyone please help me? Thank you.

Following downloading the Lion.App from the store otherwise known as “Install Mac OS X Lion”, control click it to carry up a relevant menu and select “Show Package” substance from the menu.

This carries up a Contents envelope, from here pilot to Contents/Shared Support/InstallESD.dmg, and thats the plate visualization to blaze. Twofold click it, you are able to skirt the verifying technique, then the circle representation mounts as a volume in the sidebar.

Select the mounted volume in the sidebar then either click on the smolder symbol in the event that you have it set up or pick the alternative from the File menu, pop in a plain DVD and thats work done.

To keep a discrete picture of the dmg, alternative drag a duplicate to your desktop, this will create a duplicate of the InstallESD.dmg leaving the first Lion application whole.

To compose a bootable picture to a head in place of a circle, you ought to do a restore in Disk Utility, select the InstallESD.dmg as the root and the circle volume as the goal. Enusure that the end volume is accurately organized as HFS+ Extended Journaled. Click “Restore”.
