Unable to install Double Twist on Windows Vista OS

I had a Double twist downloaded from Airsync and it was installed successfully. It would work like charm until one day there was this pop up message asking me to update the version of Double Twist.

There was this latest version of Double Twist released, which I tried to update on my machine Windows Vista. It was coming up with an error message to uninstall a previous version so I completely uninstalled the previous version of Double twist in order for me to reinstall the latest version.

I now try to reinstall the latest version and get an error message:

Error opening file for writing: C:Users***AppDataLocalTempExecutor.exe

Click Abort to stop the installation, Retry to try again, or Ignore to skip this file.

Earlier I did have a working version installed on my machine.

Has anyone come across this error message?

Good day, In this kind of issue you need to delete the old version of Double twist or uninstall the old version of Double twist.

To remove the file of Double twist old version:

• Click Start Menu
• Go to Control Panel.
• Find add and Remove Program.
• Then click of Double twist program icon.
• Click Remove.
• Restart computer.
• After restarting install new version of Double twist make sure that version is compatible of Windows Vista.

The problem might be is that the newer version of Double Twist might not work if the older version of the application is still installed on your computer. But in some cases, after uninstalling the previous version of the program and installing the new version, the program still won’t work. It might be that some of the registry file of the previous version of the program might still be present in your system thereby creating confusion on the newer version.

I strongly recommend deleting all the leftover registry file of the previous program after uninstalling a program. An easier way to do this is to use an uninstaller program. I recommend using Revo uninstaller. It has a feature of deleting all the leftover files from the uninstalled program. Download Revo uninstaller and just download the free version. Try this and you just make the newer version of Double Twist work properly.
