Unable to connect to db (SQL server 2005)

Hi,

I am a system administrator of a SQL Server 2005 which uses windows authentication mode.our company using custom developed application running queries against that DB.user complain that custom application stops responding.

I tried to connect to that server by using SQL Server management studio but its not responding.

Please help.

Unable to connect to db (SQL server 2005)

May I know if you are running your Microsoft SQL Server 2005 with Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 1? If so and it stopped responding perhaps you can tell us if there was any error messages or error codes on the screen when the issue occurred so that we can isolate the problem further.

You see, there are several reasons why this might happen and we would like to make sure that we will be able to give you the right resolution to your issue. If you are not sure what server you are running, and what error code appeared when the problem occurred, I would recommend that you go to https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/922658 for reference, or to at least get the hotfix for this problem.
