Hi there, when I flip off the power switch, the system power is still on. It does not boot until I switch off the power button. Why is this happening? I am clueless. I would appreciate your help.

Hello Najam,

You might have been working in the office. Normally company's desktop has UPS and AVR.

UPS or Uninterruptible Power Supply – Acts like a battery for Desktop, that helps avoid crashes of units when lights shuts off abnormally. It supplies energy to the computer to have to shutdown down the computer even when there's black out.

AVG or Automatic Voltage Regulator regulates flow of electricity in order to avoid computer crashes when fluctuations and blackouts occurred.

Therefore I conclude that you turned off the AVR while the UPS was still on. It computer only shuts off when you turned off its power button.

It is important that you properly shut down the computer before turning off both AVR and UPS.

I Hope this helps you mate.
