I recently saw online that Meizu has been teasing that I will have a flagship with Ubuntu as operating system. I did know not that a mobile version of Ubuntu was being developed. Can anyone give me more information about the software? What are the main advantages and how is it different from other software?
The Meizu MX4 phone still under development, But its available for public. The good thing about smartphones being offered with the Ubuntu mobile operating system is that its open to advanced users. The problem with this phone is that it comes with practically zero apps because Android apps won't work with this phone.
Main Advantages:
– Its fully open source, fits perfect for advanced users.
– CPU upgrade is about 87%, that's a lot more wide that the normal Android or Iphones.
– Dual 4G LTE, this seems very fair for a phone using Ubuntu and with a unknown brand.
– Camera and Video recording are quality.
Different from other mobile operating systems:
– It still under development and comes with some bugs
– The only apps you will find available for this phone are the ones that comes with the phone
– No option to buy at the Android playstore or Iphone AppStore
