Transforming a Flash CS4 project and taking it out of Library

I would like to know more about Adobe Flash CS4. I would like to know how to take out an object from Library? What is free transform tool? What is the benefits of using this tool? What are the attributes or properties that we can use to manipulate an object using this tool? Can we use free transform tool to objects only available in the toolbox or we can use it also to foreign objects like images and added objects from outside of Flash CS 4. Thank you!
