When I saw this Toshiba U840W I got all excited. I love the 14.4 inch screen size which is equivalent to a 21:9 display. Rumor has it – the battery can last up to 10 hours. How true is this? This sleek ultrabook was built to be a head turner just by the looks of it (cinematic display screen and aluminum design). I'm just wondering when will this be available in the US and how much will it cost for?

The Toshiba Satellite U840W Ultrabook is the only ultrabook that has a 14.4 in 21:9 Cinematic ultra-widescreen. U840W is optimized for entertainment and movies. Here are the specifications of Toshiba Satellite U840W:

Regarding the rumors about 10 hrs of battery life, it is not true. It can do up to 7.9hrs only. The U840W will be available on June 15, 2012 on US with the starting price of $999.
