Took picture from phone and having issues

Yesterday I took a picture with my phone and transferred it to my PC without any problem. I managed to open it once but I tried again later, it failed. The only thing that I did was to transfer it and change its name. What could have happened to the file? Also, I really want to salvage it as I have already deleted it on my phone?

Took picture from phone and having issues

After transferring your picture to your PC it opens easily, however, after renaming it you did not add the image extension .JPEG When you rename a picture and your computer fails to automatically recognize it as a picture add the extension and it will open. For example, rename it to cool.JPEG



Alternatively, right click on the picture, select open with>choose default>select windows photo viewer>ok
