The following steps are required-

  • Extract dll>>> copy and paste it in C:\Windows\System32>>> run Windows Command Prompt as administrator
  • Uninstall, and reinstall the immersion foundation classes program associated with ifs22dll
  • Remove computer malware, and then download ifc22 dll. You will see that your problem is solved
  • In some cases, the device drivers become faulty thus leading to improper installation. Please check your driver.
  • If the above suggestions don’t work then, please reinstall the software again.
  • Make use of a Windows System file checker or by manually updating windows.

HFSS stands for “High-Frequency Structure Simulator”. It is a commercial finite element method solver for electromagnetic structures developed by Ansys. It is one of several tools used for antenna design and designing complicated RF electronic circuit elements including filters, packaging, and transmission lines. If installing HFSS triggers a missing “ifc22.dll” file error, check that your computer meets the requirements especially the video card.

HFSS supports 64-bit Windows 7 and Windows 10 including RedHat/SUSE Linux. It requires one to two processors (1 – 2 processors) with four to twelve physical cores each (4 – 12 individual cores), 16 GB RAM, 2 TB free space, and a compatible video card. For the list of compatible video cards, see Supported Graphics Cards. That “ifc22.dll” file error might be referring to your video card.

It is either your video card is not supported or you need to update its driver to the latest.
