Thunderbolt showing firmware update 1.2, what to do?

Here's my problem; I'm getting the firmware update 1.2 of Thunderbolt time and again but the thing is, 1.2 is not compatible with my screen because I purchased it back in 2012. Many people are facing the similar problem mentioned above so any comments regarding the problem would really help everyone.

Thunderbolt is the most powerful technology that enables enjoying lightning speed of data transferring.

Thunderbolt 1.2 firmware update is good to install as it’s necessary to enjoy full speed and better performance. But in some case, this update makes trouble and so, it’s recommended to avoid the message and not to install Thunderbolt 1.2. Even Mac developers have also seen some issue with the update and in some case, Mac needs to be re-installed in the device.

There’s a firmware version 1.2.1 which is the updated version of 1.2. You can get it from here.

After installing, restart your Mac.
