Hello All,

I purchased a new computer with windows 8. I was given UPS as a complimentary along with it. After, I set up the hardware; I carried on with the software installation. My installation process suddenly aborted, and I started a fresh installation.

I then faced an error message shown below.

Please help me installing my UPS.

Hi,

Your problem seems to be related to error with log files of the operating system.

When you install any application, the OS keeps log file contains detailed information about the running installation. Sometimes when something goes wrong and the process aborted, the OS do not correct that. Hence, you won’t be able to reinstall the same application till that problem is solved.

There are no known steps to solve your problems but here is some tips maybe could help:

1.   Shutdown (power off) your PC, unplug the power cable, and power-up the PC again.

2.   Run the system restore to restore your system to a point before the first installation attempted.

3.   Use the maintenance software to check the OS health, I do recommend “ccleaner” which is free.
