Is there a Gimp save as wmf Plugin?

Hi guys.  I use Gimp 2 for editing image files.  Why can't I open a wmf file?  Is there a Gimp save as wmf plugin so I can open and save the said file?  I don't like to convert the wmf file to a recognized file in Gimp to save time.  Any help would be much appreciated.  Thanks in advance.

Hi Edward,

I'm using Gimp 2, too. I read some specifications of this program and in the specifications is specified that with Gimp 2 you can open .wmf file but, there is no way to save it in .wmf file format.
This program is very unstable on some new Linux systems. It works fine with Linux Ubuntu 8.04 and 10.04, but in some newer versions, like Linux Ubuntu 11.04, there are a few problems. For example, in Linux Ubuntu 12.04. this program does not work at all.

If you are not using listed system versions, than you may have a problem with version of the program. Try to update to latest version of Gimp.
