Hi All,

Is there any way to use Gtalk even if its blocked

My company has blocked it. Is there a way i can use it. Some emergencies i need this badly.

Can i have the steps please

I can access my Gmails etc. But not the chat alone

Hello there!

 

You can access Gtalk along with the other messengers even if your office or any other places blocked it for use. You do not need to install software or any of these messengers on your system. Below is the list of websites that you can visit to use gtalk on blocked computers:

These are browser based service written in JavaScript and can be accessed through any modern browsers. Just open your browser and start instant messaging.

Remember that websites are blocked in the office because they are against their policies and want to retain their employee's productivity.

There are several ways which you can use to access the Gtalk.

Option one.

1. Try using the igoogle (https://www.google.com/webhp?gws_rd=ssl) and sign in with your Gmail credentials.
2. On the left Pane click on the Add gadgets link
3. under Narrow by category option select communication
4. Under the Gadgets tab, select Google talk gadget or alternatively  search it under the ‘Search for gadgets option on the top corner’
5. Click adds it now after finding it.
6. Return to your igoogle homepage and start enjoying Gtalk.

Option two.

Using Gtalk service servers.

Try using the Karoo Lark web messenger (https://karoolark.com/).

Scroll down to the “KarooLark Desktop Notification for Google Chrome link and there you will be given a step by step way of connecting to Gtalk.

The problem with this option is that its works only with Google chrome not other web browsers.

Hi Badnan,

There is a software called ultrasurf that I suggest you try using. It will successfully bypass all the proxies set by your company that do not allow you to use Gtalk. You can find it by visiting the URL https://filehippo.com/download_ultrasurf/.

You can also get ultrasurf from other sites like softonic, cnetdownloads and filestube.

Download ultrasurf and install it on your computer. Launch it, it will open an internet explorer browser which you will surf with without proxy restrictions. Use the internet explorer that will be opened by ultrasurf, and use tabbed browsing if you have to open many pages. If open another browser that was not opened by ultrasurf, it will be having the restrictions.
