How the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (Trai) does seek to stop or make it difficult for spammers and hackers to copy and use email addresses of other people? What are some of their regulatory measures and proposals that to them are the best for now to deal with spammers and hackers of the various social media?

Hello,

TRAI has resorted to 'munjing' of all address to check the spammers from copying those ID's automatically.

The address munjing is done to make it tedious for cyber criminals or spammers from copying email ID's sending mails automatically.

In address munjing, the email ID's are changed by replacing symbols like @ to (at) and a '.' to (dot).

The TRAI has faced the huge criticism after it has made the public mails more than 10 lakhs mail address commented on its paper.

So that the TRAI was seen as forage for cyber criminals specially Hackers and Spammers.
