Hi,

Team Viewer is really important to me as I need to show my wife what to do when she is away working (she's not very computer literate). Just recently while using the application, I seem to get the same message and my question is, why does this error message: "The token is invalid or expired" Show up?

TeamViewer Error – Token is Invalid or Expired

Hi,

The error "The Token is invalid or expired" occurs when user did not click on the validation link that the TeamViewer sends after registering. It must be activated within 9 days after registration. So most probably, you are receiving this error because you did not click on the validation link on your email.

In order to fix this, you need to log on again to your TeamViewer account and enter your username and password.

https://login.teamviewer.com/logon

You will have the option to get a new validation link from your email. Click it and see if it will fix the error.

TeamViewer Error – Token is Invalid or Expired

In TeamViewer, you may receive the message “The token is invalid or expired” if your TeamViewer account has not been validated within the required time period. This normally happens on newly created TeamViewer accounts. When you create a TeamViewer account, you must validate it within nine days by clicking on the validation link sent to your email address.

After creating your TeamViewer account, log in to your email account (the email address you used with your TeamViewer account) and check for the validation or activation message sent by TeamViewer. Open the message then click on the validation or activation link. This will then activate your TeamViewer account.

Now, if you receive the message “The token is invalid or expired” when logging in to your TeamViewer account, that means you did not activate your account within the nine days period. To fix this, you don’t need to create a new TeamViewer account. Open your web browser and go to TeamViewer Management Console and log in to your account.

You now have the option to receive the email again with a new validation link. Once you receive the validation message on your email account, just click on the validation link to activate your TeamViewer account. This should fix the problem.
