I want to install Windows 2012 standard hyper v. I don’t want anything to go wrong, which may lead to loss of data. What are the system requirements for the installation of Windows 2012 standard hyper v?

Yes, you are doing the right thing. I did a lot of research over this and will tell you about my personal experience. I read that 512 MB RAM is enough. But I will suggest at least 4 GB RAM if you want your server to work.

Apart from this, you need a 64-bit processor with a SLAT that stands for second-level address translation for installing Windows 2012 standard hyper v.

Virtualization should be turned on.

Hardware-enforced Data Execution Prevention should be enabled. If it is not available, make it available, and then go for the installation.

Have a good internet connection and a minimum space of 32 GB in your hard drive.
