Synology DS411 Slim HD delays opening iTunes and NAS navigation

I copied the music in my iTunes library to the newly purchased Synology DS411 Slim HD. After which, it is taking long hours to open iTunes and navigate through NAS library which is directly connected. Is there a way to resolve the problem? Suggestions/advices are welcome.

Well, the problem there may be that the music that you copied to the Synology Slim HD may have taken a lot memory space and therefore resulting to the slowness in performance. You will need to space that the files that you copied occupy and in case they are overwhelming the device you will need to empty some of them so as to free some space and improve the performance of the system.

You may also want to scan the Slim HD just in case there might have been a virus attack when you were transferring the files, for that could be another reason as to why the system is slowing down.
