Sun OS: location of email logs

I am not really familiar with OS Sun, I just want to ask if there are any logs when someone sent me an email using SendMail, mail or mail box. I searched in var/ log/ syslog/ and var ,mail but none match with the name. I am seeking for some information with date, time and the command used. I don’t need a copy of email but the log itself. Thanks.

Hello Nick Rourke,,

For sure there should a log that is kept for all the emails that are send and received using the mail application program that you are using, and to retrieve the log files you will need to do that be accessing them from the mail server that you are using..

You can also view the cached files on your computer and see if they may be having any information that is related to that you want to retrieve.

The procedure for accessing the log files might be a bit different depending on which mail server you are using and therefore you will need to do some digging on that.
