Is SQL CAL free when you have a SQL Server

We have 2 SQL server licenses but not sure if by default all users who connect via SQL clients are free or does it need a SQL Client access license? (CAL)

Can i have some proven explanations with Microsoft's proof

Is SQL CAL free when you have a SQL Server

Client access license of Microsoft will depend on the software purchase that you made. The minimum free license when you purchase an original Microsoft is 5 Client Access License. But you can always buy separate Client Access Licensing to your supplier. It will automatically be used by the first 5 users that you connect to the server.

You can install an evaluation version from a DVD set up if you do not have a licensed version of SQL Server 2008 R2. To install this, do not give the product key when you are provoked. However, it is more guaranteed if you will buy a license for SQL Server if you decided to continue to use it after the estimated period. If you want to licensed server, you must need to purchase the server license itself. SQL Server 2012 Enterprise is what will be important for Mission Critical and Tier 1 appliance, high accessibility and Data Warehousing.
