The Sony Xperia Sola has gone up for sale on Flipkart.com. Any idea when it would be available in India?

Dear Dineshgala,

Floating Touch, yes that’s what Sony named it. It would be a blasting phone set by Sony. Sony Xperia has really gone up for sale on Flipkart.com as its delivery date is inches away from the user level. According to NDTV, it seems Sony Xperia is coming by the 4th week of May, to be exact it is coming on 18th may with an expected price of 22,999 Indian rupee.

Although according to Flipkart, price of this amazing phone is around 19,999. Its not yet fixed neither the date nor the price. So, I think you may have to wait for more or less a week 🙁

The sony's brand new Xperia Sola was expected to release on 4th week of may 2012. The expected price of Xperia sola in India will be above 20,000 INR. Sony Xperia Sola Specs:

 

3.7-inch Mobile BRAVIA engine display,

1GHz dual-core processor,

5-megapixel camera,

Sony’s xLOUD audio technology,

Android 2.3 Gingerbread (can be updated to newer versions),

A-GPS, 265 ppi(pixel density),

3G, WiFi, Bluetooth, 

8000 MB storage built, etc..

The Sony Xperia sola is a discontinued 3G Smartphone operating on 2G and 3G network bands using GSM and HSPA technologies. It was announced to the public on March 2012 and released on May 2012 measuring 116 x 59 x 9.9 millimeters and weighing 107 grams. It uses mini-SIM card and has LED-backlit LCD capacitive touchscreen display with 16M colors at 480 x 854 pixels screen resolution.

It is protected with scratch-resistant glass with floating touch display. It runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread upgradable to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich powered by NovaThor U8500 chipset, 1 GHz Dual-Core Cortex-A9 processor, and Mali-400 GPU. It supports microSD expandable up to 32 GB. It runs on 512 MB RAM with 8 GB internal storage (5 GB user available).

The primary camera supports 5 megapixels with AF featuring LED flash and panorama. It supports 720p video recording at 30 fps. There is no secondary camera.

It has 3.5-millimeter jack with 3D surround sound and active noise cancellation with dedicated mic, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n with DLNA and hotspot support, Bluetooth 3.0 with A2DP and EDR support, GPS with A-GPS support, NFC, stereo FM radio with RDS support, and microUSB 2.0 with USB Host support.
