Hello Friends,

My office has got a new project of drawing lab equipments, I am using Photoshop for that. I heard somewhere that, there is separate software for  drawing lab equipments, If so please do the needful for suggesting me best available software for drawing lab equipment, which can be available for free of cost. Waiting to hear a good suggestion.

Thanks,

George Saunders

Hi,

There are few software which are tailor-made for equipment drawing jobs. Some of them are: ACD Labs Chemsketch, Chemix2.0 (the online editor which required Flash player) & Accelrys Draw ( helps in good graphical work).

ChemSketch is a free tool package which allows you to sketch various diagrams of organics, polymers, organometallics and other lab structures. Calculations of molecular properties, 2D/3D making and viewing, prediction of logp etc. are some of the highlights. The commercial version includes search files by structure, Technical support and more functionalities.

And if you want best free alternative to Photoshop, then there is Gimp which is robust.
