Hello,

I think the Skype is the best software I have ever seen for this kind of purposes (Video or voice call and chatting and file transferring at the same time). These days’ mobile service providers also provide Skype oriented services. Because it is low cost.

They allow taking call using Skype through their networks for low prices. Most of the time these kinds of calls are IDD calls. The cost of Skype call from one country to another country is very low when comparing to a normal IDD call. Because of that you think maybe come true. But the quality of the call will be the key to be famous of this technology.

Yes, you definitely got it right.

Skype can be used as an alternative for the mobile phones, and it will be mostly free (within your country) for sending and receiving local calls and text messages. The Skype has introduced a Skype mobile app for this purpose. Skype can be kept active in your phone throughout and, you can receive calls at any time just like an ordinary mobile.

But for Calling abroad, you will need a Skype credit. Still this will be cheaper than the amount charged by the mobile service providers.

Skype Mobile Apps

The main limitations are:

  • Internet connectivity should be present at all times.
  • There should be a net connection at both the calling end and the receiving end, which may not be available in all cases.

But Skype could become one of the cheapest and widely used communication system of the future when the limitations are overcome.
