With Microsoft including Skype OEM Preinstallation Kit for Windows 7, would the same or higher version of Skype be available for Windows phone as well?

Regarding to this post about windows phone and pre-installed OEM, they are pretty much the same when it comes to the functionality.

The basic functions like chat, call, and instant message are present on both. Windows phones and windows operating system have a different version.  For windows phone, the most recent is version 1.1.0.62 and for the windows operating system is version 5.9.0.123. Windows phone has a beta version but Windows OS doesn’t have.

The only difference is that Skype on phone is more convenient rather than on the computer since you can bring your phone anywhere. Skype on phones will work on 3G or WiFi area.
