Hello,

It happens sometimes that when you start an application in windows 7 they might crash or sometimes malfunctioned. You need to uninstall the software and download the latest version of the software.

Go to https://www.skype.com/en/ and download the latest version of Skype which is compatible with windows 7. This should solve your problem.

Thank you.

Hi Daniel,

There seems to be some problem with your version of Skype.

I would recommend you to re-install your Skype software.

Go to Control Panel -> Add or Remove a program. Select Skype and then follow the on-screen instructions to uninstall the software.

Then go to the following link to get the latest version of the Skype software.

Link: https://www.skype.com/en/get-skype/

This should solve your problem.

If you keep seeing this error on Skype when launching, try to uninstall then download the latest. Download the free version of Revo Uninstaller and install. Once installed, start Revo then select Skype among the applications and click “Uninstall.” Follow the normal uninstall process. When you are prompted to restart the computer, click to restart later.

When uninstall is complete, click “Scan” to scan your computer for any leftover files and click to delete everything it finds. This removes everything the program created on your computer. When it is finished, exit Revo then download the latest Skype for Desktop. The latest version at the moment supports Windows 7, Windows 8.x, and Windows 10.

It requires 1 GHz or faster processor, 512 MB RAM, and Microsoft DirectX 9 or higher. It also works on Macintosh and Linux as well as on mobile phones. For iOS devices, download Skype for iPhone. The latest version at the moment requires iOS 10 or higher and works on iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.

For Android devices, download Skype for Android.
