Skype does not start, says Skype executable is corrupted

Hello,

I was using Skype properly but suddenly I got the following error message saying unfortunately the Skype executable is corrupted. Please re-install”. I can’t understand this weird error message.

I just tried to reinstall the application but the problem persists.

Help me to resolve this issue.

There are two ways of approaching this issue.

 

Firstly, I suggest you to update the drivers by proceeding to configuration panel.

 

Graphical card needs to be selected, and the driver should be updated.

 

Another solution is to update the NVIDIA driver with the very 301.42 configured from NVIDIA site.

 

Skype should now run smoothly.

Hello,

There is a possibility that if your system is having Keylogger software which is running in the background

Then you may face the error in skype.So,if you have Keylogger software running in your system,

please turn it off And then start  using the Skype again.

Hello, 

Firstly make sure you have download and installed skype from official site only. Then if you see this kind of message then go to your skype folder in the disk C and select program files then there you will find skype folder open that folder and check it completely for the update application file name. Then click on the update and skype will start updating after updating successfully you will not see this error again as it will change all the files if there is any corrupted one's also.
