I was using Skype for quite long time, when I try to open Skype all of a sudden I got his pop up message. It worked well in Xp operating system, but this happened in windows 7. Tried million times to uninstall and reinstall the Skype, but nothing magic happened. Also I updated my operating system and also updated my web cam and microphone too. Experts help me solve this issue.

Skype application is not working properly
I’m not sure why you are getting this error if you are using Microsoft Windows 7. Your operating system is supported. If you frequently update your operating system, it is possible that the update being installed is the cause of the problem. Maybe when the update was installed, there is something that get modified which Skype is using and that’s when the error is triggered.
Try reinstalling Skype if you don’t want to download and upgrade to the latest version. Uninstall Skype. After that, click Start, All Programs, Accessories, System Tools, and select Disk Cleanup. Select drive C. On the next screen, check “Temporary files” from the list and click OK to start cleaning and remove all temporary files in your computer.
After that, restart your computer and install Skype back. In case the problem continues, download and install the latest version from Skype for Windows Desktop. This version supports Windows XP Service Pack 3, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8, and Windows 8.1 both x86 and x64 versions. You should also make sure to update your webcam’s driver.
