Should I install anti-rootkit on Windows 7?

While searching for a virus problem, I have come across a term called anti-rootkit. I don’t know much about it. Please explain: What is anti-rootkit?

I have AVG antivirus running on my computer (WINDOWS7). Should I install anti-rootkit also or not?

Should I install anti-rootkit on Windows 7?

Rootkit is the term used when a different user enters your system without the password authentication but cannot be seen on your system that it is used by somebody while you are also using it. You can get rootkits once a user gains an access your computer. It is the combination of the word "root" (standard name in UNIX) and "kit" (Pertaining to the software).

It is also associated with Malware, because this is unknown types of software that isn't installed by the owner itself.

About your question on installing your anti-rootkit, It is a must in order to protect your computer from rootkits. You might want to install the anti-rootkit software of the same anti virus brand that you are using right now which is AVG in your computer. You can also try another anti rootkit protection software of another brand. It just depends on what would you think is the best.
